Google's people are famous for having fun while working hard - and the
harder you work, apparently the more creative the fun. Mari Capps,
part of Google's engEDU engineering training and development team,
recently returned from a short vacation to find her desk covered in
tin foil. Or, rather, not just covered, but each item individually
wrapped and put lovingly back into place, down to single business
cards and post-it notes re-stuck to the monitors. The result was a
workplace wonder, a prankster's paradise, an homage to humor, and a
simple joy to behold - though you really needed sunglasses, even
indoors…
How long did it take? Put 15 pairs of hands
together with a devoted purpose, and in this case only 20 minutes and
3 rolls of jumbo foil. In short…
The look on Mari's face when she returned - priceless!
